Volunteer/community programme posibilities in Sangam

Sangam is one of four World Centres of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The Centre is situated on the banks of the Mula River in Pune, 190km (120m) from Mumbai (formerly Bombay), in the state of Maharashtra, India.
The word Sangam means ‘coming together’ in the ancient language of Sanskrit. Since the Centre’s beginning in 1966, Sangam has been a safe, neutral place for members of Guiding and Scouting to come together to share their experiences as well as the culture and traditions of their homelands and Member Organizations.

Sangam Volunteers (SVs) are a lively group of young women who help organise and run event programmes at Sangam World Centre. They run event sessions, give tours of the neighbourhood, lead discussions, learn Indian crafts and much more!
