Mentors and Countries Working Group

The Mentors and Countries Working group assists the development of strategies to support associations who wish to develop Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting in their country. Providing programmes for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts over the age of 16, supporting adult leaders, and exchange of best practice are important priorities for this group. The Group also looks at societal trends and supports associations to use such data to assist their development. The Group works to provide mentoring and coaching to individual in Member Organizations or to National Boards/Specific Working Groups; its members can also deliver training courses or capacity building activities in countries and during regional training event. The Group monitors the way Member Organisations implement and monitor the WAGGGS membership policy and looks into programmes and projects that can support associations to foster Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in different countries. The group is composed by 11 volunteers, 9 women and young women and 2 young men.The members of the Mentors and Countries Working Group are:
