The Europe Office WAGGGS

The Europe Office WAGGGS is based in Brussels, Belgium. The team currently consists of 7 people : the Regional Director, 2 Development Executives, a part-time Communications and Funding Officer. They work together with a Central Services Administrator, a part-time Clerical Assistant and an accountant.

Staff at the Europe Office implement the decisions taken at the European Conference and the Europe Committee meetings, and assist the Committee to develop programmes and policies to fulfil WAGGGS’ mission. To contact a member of the Europe Office, click on their name.

Heather Roy – Regional Director

As Regional Director, Heather is responsible for the general management of the Europe Office WAGGGS, and ensuring the implementation of the Region’s Strategic Plan. She is also responsible for the development of quality Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting in Europe, liaising with the World Bureau of WAGGGS in London, and the European Scout Region. 



Paola Cervo – Development Executive 

 

Paola supports the development of Associations including the accreditation of their training schemes and mentoring.  She is also responsible for managing seminars organised by the Region.

semary Hindle 
 – Development Executive (External Relations)

Rosemary is responsible for co-ordinating the External Relations of the Europe Region WAGGGS, and liaising with the Region’s external partners such as the European Youth Forum and the European Institutions. She is also responsible for organising the annual Network meeting for Guide and Scout Representatives (with the European Scout Region) and supporting the Region’s External Representatives.

ita Waswani – Communications and Funding Officer

Rita works part time and is responsible for co-ordinating some of the External Communications of the Europe Region WAGGGS as well as researching and sourcing funding for both the Region and National Associations within the Region.






Jeannette Umit - Central Services Administrator

Jeannette is responsible for the co-ordination of the clerical activities in the office, including organising the administration of events and other activities such as mailings. She is also responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the computer networks in the office, and the production of internal communication tools such as Europak and seminar and meeting reports.

 

Dominique Theunis
– Clerical Assistant

Dominique works with Jeannette to provide administrative support for the Europe Office and does much of the translation of documents from English into French.

 




Laurent Grimonpont - Accountant

Laurent, who works part time, deals with all financial matters including Voluntary Contribution.
