A poster competition

31 January 2010

Twenty years ago, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

This means that, for the first time, member countries of the United Nations agreed on certain rights, which have to be totally respected in any situation for all children under the age of 18. Today there are 195 countries of the world who have signed the Convention.

The European Commission, DG Justice, Freedom and Security is dedicating a poster competition to celebrating the anniversary of this important agreement.

So take part – learn more here about the rights you have, and express yourself on the topic!
