'Stop the Violence: Speak out for Girls Rights'
3 October 2012
According to the Council of Europe, 1 European woman in 4 experiences domestic violence at some point in her life; one respondent in four in a recent EU survey knows a woman among friends or in the family circle who is a victim of domestic violence.
Do you want to find out how you can join the WAGGGS campaign “Stop the violence: Speak out for Girls Rights?” and help end violence against girls? There are still a few places left for the seminar taking place between 29th November and 4th December in Antwerp, Belgium organized on the campaign by the Europe Region.
Join Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from across Europe to discuss how violence affects girls and young women in Europe, how WAGGGS is taking action, get training on campaigning and lobbying and develop your own campaign or project on which you will work following the end of the seminar.
More information is available in the invitation which you can download here. If your association would like to nominate a participant, send the completed application form to firstname.lastname@example.org by 10th October 2012.
