Aims of the Europe Region WAGGGS

  • develop policies and guidelines to assist our Member Organizations to fulfil WAGGGS’ Mission
  • help Member Organizations develop Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in their own countries
  • support Member Organizations to develop non-formal education programmes for our members and projects on WAGGGS themes
  • provide support and resources for groups seeking to establish Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting for the first time
  • provide information and promotional materials to help our members promote  WAGGGS and the international aspects of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting
  • provide a contact point for Member Organizations to exchange ideas and learn
  • about each other’s projects and programmes  

European Guide Conference 

  • takes place every three years
  • is the highest decision-making body in the Europe Region
  • Member Organizations vote on the operational plan and elect the new Committee

Europe Committee WAGGGS 

  • elected every three years at the European Guide Conference
  • carry out the resolutions and fulfil duties assigned by the European Conference
  • six members (volunteers), all from different countries, plus a financial advisor
  • each member has a different area of work
  • acts as an advisory body to any Member Organization requiring advice and assistance
  • supported by the Europe Office WAGGGS

Europe office WAGGGS 

  • seven members of staff in Brussels
  • each has a main area of work but also work together on specific projects, meetings, events, etc
  • work together with one or several members of the Europe Committee WAGGGS
