The Europe Region WAGGGS follows and contributes to the work of the European Commission and the Council of Europe on these topics. The Region also networks and develops partnerships with a number of European platforms and Brussels-based NGOs working on these issues.
The members of the WAGGGS Advocacy Group speak out on behalf of young people in Europe, particularly girls and young women, at meetings, working groups and other evens organized at European level.
A toolkit on Advocacy has been developed, and the Region supports girl guides and girl scouts to build their capacity to speak out and take action at national and local level through tailored training and regional events. Visit our events pages to find out what activities are being organized in 2011.
